SAMAN has holdings in Tacua S. A., with forty-one percent of its shares. Tacua is a port operator which carries out its commercial activity in the Port of Montevideo, a strategic enclave of great economic dynamism of the Southern Cone. It is the entry point to the Paraguay–Paraná Waterway, a river system that connects Uruguay, Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay, and Bolivia. Likewise, it is also the confluence of the main land access routes for the countries of this region, and the Carrasco International Airport is located only eighteen kilometers away.
