The process of rice production requires large quantities of energy throughout all its stages. From the watering of the paddies, to its processing and packaging at the mills, and finally as it is delivered to customers. At every step of the way, energy is consumed.
SAMAN holds itself accountable for being efficient in its energy consumption in order to ensure that the development of industrial activity is sustainable. By developing efficient processes and procedures and investing in infrastructure and technology, SAMAN becomes increasingly Earth-friendly year after year, reducing its energy consumption, yet maintaining higher levels of productivity.
The Energy Efficiency projects that SAMAN has researched and implemented allow 450,000 kWh of energy to be saved each year. It is one of SAMAN’s objectives to be able to continue developing Energy Efficiency projects in order to reduce energy consumption in its industrial processes and also to keep improving our bond with the environment.
